Michigan State: Round 2, 2010

My, how things have changed since the last time Penn State and Michigan State met. Ever since getting soundly beaten by Sparty on national television a few weeks go, the Fighting DeChellises have gone on to win three of their last four Big Ten contests and have displayed a level of swagger not seen since last year's NIT title run.

This doesn't change the fact of course, that tonight's task will be an extremely tall one. The only chance at pulling an upset in East Lansing for the second straight year is for everybody to play above their heads. This includes denying Michigan State second-chance opportunities via offensive rebounds, taking care of the basketball, and Talor Battle hitting some more of those patented contested 25+ foot shots (pictured, right>>> H/T: BSD).

Tipoff is at 7 PM ET on ESPN2. Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch but I'll do my best to get texted score updates at work tonight. Almighty KenPom only has 11% faith in the Fighting DeChellises pulling off the shocker and foresees a 72-60 beatdown at the hands of Sparty. He's probably on to something but screw that, pass me the Kool-Aid, son!
