Creepin' the Big Ten: Week 13

Is the regular season already over? Sure went fast. Here's the roundup of Big Ten football action from this weekend.

Three teams can now officially lay claim to the 2010 Big Ten football championship--Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. But we all know that only Michigan State is the rightful owner of the true title, as the Spartans were the only ones to go undefeated (1-0) against the other two co-champs--Ohio State lost to Wisconsin, and Wisconsin lost to Michigan State. Oh, and Buckeyes fans better not throw out the "MSU lost to Iowa, but we beat them!" Yeah, you know who else beat Iowa this year? Minnesota.

Hey Michigan and Illinois... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?! Those of you at the Penn State game were spared the humiliation as fellow Big Ten conference members of witnessing the complete embarrassment that was the Michigan-Illinois basketball football game Saturday. More on that in a minute, but first we touch on the other action from this past weekend in Big Ten football.

Creepin' The Big Ten: Week 8

The Big Ten decided that defense is overrated this week and lots of points were had. 6 teams scored 30 or more points and there were some very entertaining outcomes. Too bad most occurred at the same time, it's difficult to focus on other games when Penn State is playing (yeah I probably have a mild form of ADD, so sue me).

Apologies for the lateness on this week's edition of Creepin The Big Ten. I just woke up and realized that it's already Wednesday and the next batch of Big Ten games are on the horizon. I still consider myself to be far more reliable than Ohio State's special teams, though. Speaking of which...

Creepin' the Big Ten: Week 6

We interrupt this Penn State pity party to check out the rest of the Big Ten, while the Lions were leaving a huge steaming pile in Beaver Stadium there were some Big Ten teams that were doing very well. So how did Ohio State do?

Creepin' The Big Ten: Week 5

Look, I'm done with the Iowa game, okay? I'm moving the fuck on. I've read enough garbage on the message boards in the past 48 hours that have made me question why I follow a program with such a retarded, bi-polar, "doom and gloom" fan base. It also was a reason why I had ZERO motivation to provide any Monday morning insight with the rest of my LBU colleagues yesterday. Allow me to make one thing clear: The sky is NOT falling. Yes, this team is a work in progress and will give us our share of frustrating moments throughout the season, but if you seriously that we won't show any improvement between now and Michigan State and that 6-6 is the ceiling for this team, please give me your contact info so I can come over and push you off the fucking ledge myself.

With that being said: It's time for our weekly creepin' of the Big Ten.

While Penn State was collectively ripping the hearts of their fans out before finally putting Temple away, there were other games going on and that's where 'Creepin' the Big Ten' comes in. So how did Michigan do?

Crotch-grabbing Iowa's Marvin McNutt: Not a recommended strategy.
And we're back again for another week of Creepin' The Big Ten, because let's face it: You've done so much praising of Rob Bolden's poise in a hostile environment at Alabama and cursing our tackling and Tom Bradley's patented Cover-3 defense that the last thing on your mind right now is on what happened elsewhere in the Big Ten. Well, allow me to bring you up to speed, young whippersnappers:

Creepin' The Big Ten: Week 1

Kudos to Galen for the name behind this new segment. As you all know, there’s more to college football than what’s happening with Penn State. Hence, we feel it’s our duty here at LBU to give you a recap of how our fellow Big Ten brethren fared in the past weekend:

Indiana 51, Towson 17 – Yes, it was Towson, but IU’s offense was as good as advertised. Ben Chappell tossed a pair of TD’s to go with his 182 yards passing while Darius Willis tacked on 102 yards and two rushing TD’s himself. IU coach Bill Lynch also tossed his gum and yelled at a ref for no apparent reason.

Ohio State 45, Marshall 7 – Marshall got plenty of TP for their bungholes* in OSU’s Thursday Night debut. Terrelle Pryor picked apart the Thundering Herd’s secondary with 247 yards passing and three TD’s, one to eighth-year senior Dane Sanzenbacher and two more to DeVier Posey. Brian Rolle also added a pick-six along with Brandon Saine running for 103 yards and a pair of TD’s. Freshman Jamaal Berry had a solid debut as well, running for 80 yards on seven carries.
