Joe Paterno Predicted Pac-10 Expansion

As Run Up The Score put it: HE TRIED TO TELL YOU. Yes, with all this talk about the Pac-10 suddenly expanding, and the media world seemingly caught with their pants around their ankles, we can look back almost seven weeks to comments by Joe Paterno. He was in the press box for ESPN's live broadcast of the Penn State Blue-White Game. While discussing a number of topics with Brent Musberger, Kirk Herbstreit, and Matt Millen, Paterno told a national TV audience that he felt the Pac-10 would expand, and that "friends of mine (his)" said it would happen.

But what did he know? Paterno is just a crazy octogenarian past his prime, right?
