Linkbacker U is shooting hoops in July.

Well the July 4th weekend has now officially come and gone and now it's time for everyone to get back to work...that is of course...unless you're Georgia Athletic Director Damon Evans, who needs a stern talking to about the dangers of driving. No sympathy here. So as we ease you back into the real world again (and/or count you down to Artsfest)

Talor Battle teaming up with Lebron?

No, LeBron hasn't decided to somehow regain eligibility and attend Penn State. And no, Talor Battle is not dropping out of school and testing his luck as a free agent. But Battle will be a staff member at LeBron's highly anticipated basketball camp. which a source told Victory Bell Rings that only the best players at the Nike camps are chosen to staff James' event.

Now as for whether or not the New York native is recruiting James to the Knicks? The world will never know.

Basketball Non-Con coming soon...

We all know Ed DeChellis's struggles in piecing together a competitive non-conference schedule in recent years. The schedule cost the Lions a shot at the NCAA tournament in 2008 and well, nothing could have helped last year's squad.

Basketball SID Brian Siegrist tweeted that we can expect to see the non conference schedule very soon.

It's been a light couple days in the Penn State blogosphere with the holiday weekend. We apologize if two straight Penn State basketball stories put you in a crappy mood. If this is going to make the rest of your day miserable, as you ponder sitting through another 3-15 season, remember that football is officially less than two months away. And at least Youngstown State will be a win (knock on wood.)
