Kevin Newsome could be looking to take his services elsewhere. And really, who could blame him? (Photo: Mike/LBU) |
"Multiple sources close to the Nittany Lions have indicated to Blue White Illustrated that sophomore quarterback Kevin Newsome intends to seek a transfer."To tell you the truth, there's a bit of relief that comes with this news, for both Penn State and Newsome. Penn State now can play around with three great quarterbacks, all of whom have at least two years of eligibility after this one. For Newsome, he can transfer to another FBS(I-A) program, and still have two full seasons to play quarterback. Newsome never took a redshirt season, so he's just a true sophomore.
If Newsome does transfer--which isn't definite--we can only wish him the best of luck in his career. It's just too bad I went through the process of making his freshman year highlight reel, and he won't even finish his playing days at Penn State.
Just another early off-season storyline to watch.
*By the way, you will not hear the name P** D***** from me. If you can't get over that situation, that's your problem, not ours.

I think he should try to switch positions at Penn State. Let's face it he's no Pat Devlin.
ReplyDeleteI wish him the best of luck, he is a true sportsman all season he was on the sidelines with a smile on his face and congratulating all his teammates when they were doing well. I wish more players had the attitude he has, he will go far in life after football.
