Ryan Nowicki verbals to Penn State

While you're hunkering down in the bomb shelter for what will probably be the worst off-season in the last 70 years of Penn State football, let's just get this out of the way. Arizona offensive lineman Ryan Nowicki verbally committed to play for Penn State. As per usual, Sean Fitz has it:

"I committed to Penn State yesterday," said Glendale (Az.) Cactus offensive lineman Ryan Nowicki said on Wednesday evening. "Coach Kenney was here, I was talking to him. We brought it up and I told him that I was going to go there to school. I got on the phone with [Joe] Paterno and talked to him and he was excited about it."

The nice part about Nowicki is that he was recruited by the likes of actual I-A programs. Ok, so that's harsh. But he is a decent pickup, particularly along the offensive line. This class is really hitting the trenches, which is a good thing in a down year overall recruiting. You can get skill players almost anywhere. But if you lack depth on the lines, you're screwed.
