Johnnie Troutman charged with DUI

Because, you know, this is exactly what the team needs to worry about after going 7-6 last season, a record due in no small part to shaky play from the offensive line.

Johnnie Troutman not only got nabbed for DUI and driving without a license this Saturday night. He did it with a blood alcohol level so high, an extra charge, "DUI with a high rate of blood alcohol" was added by police in their court filing today.

Just imagine how much booze must be consumed for a 6-foot-4, 325-pound football player to get smashed out of his mind to the point where he's drunk well beyond the "normal" morons who drink and drive.

Well, I have a clue at least. It was obviously enough for him to think it was perfectly okay to grab his keys (License? Who needs it?) and take a cruise.

Considering Troutman has been in and out of Joe Paterno's doghouse for pretty much his entire career at Penn State, it's safe to say we may not see him on the first team for a good long time. That sucks for him, though, because he's going to be a 5th-year senior this fall.

It's a good thing I didn't post those depth chart previews this week. 'Cause this kind of shakes some things up. DeOn'tae Pannell, please step up to the line...
