Always for the Glory: NFL Update Week 10

Linebacker U had a bittersweet week in the NFL. Paul Posluszny, Cameron "Derek" Wake, and Tamba Hali all played outstanding football, but Dan Connor went down with yet another season-ending injury. There are currently 29 former Nittany Lions on NFL rosters.

NFC North

Chicago Bears - Chicago Bears 22, Buffalo Bills 19

This week: Chicago hosts Minnesota, 1 p.m Sunday on FOX.

Anthony Adams (1999-02), DT
Adams started at nose tackle for the Bears, recording two tackles and a quarterback hit in the narrow win over the Bills.

Robbie Gould (2001-04), K
Gould missed his only field goal attempt, a 42-yarder but was 2-for-2 on PATs.

Green Bay Packers - Green Bay Packers 45, Dallas Cowboys 7

This week: BYE.

Andrew Quarless (2006-09), TE
Quarless was on the inactive list due to a shoulder injury suffered in the Packers' week eight win over the New York Jets.

Minnesota Vikings - Minnesota Vikings 27, Arizona Cardinals 24

This week: Minnesota travels to Chicago, 1 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Jimmy Kennedy (1999-02), DT
Kennedy saw time as a reserve defensive lineman but did not have a tackle in the Vikings' come-from-behind win over the Cardinals.

Detroit Lions - New York Jets 23, Detroit Lions 20 (OT)

This week: Detroit travels to Buffalo, 1 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Derrick Williams (2005-08), WR
Williams played but did not have a catch in Detroit's overtime loss to New York.

Bryant Johnson (1999-02), WR
Johnson started as part of the Lions' three-receiver set, hauling in one pass for seven yards.

NFC East

New York Giants - New York Giants 41, Seattle Seahawks 7

This week: The Giants host Dallas, 4:15 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Kareem McKenzie (1997-00), OT
McKenzie, New York's starting right tackle, was part of a dominating offensive performance against Seattle, as the Giants piled up 487 yards and scored 41 points.

Philadelphia Eagles - Philadelphia Eagles 26, Indianapolis Colts 24

A.Q. Shipley (2005-08), C
Shipley joined the Eagles in the 2010 offseason and spent the entire training camp and preseason with the team before signing to the practice squad.

Dallas Cowboys - Green Bay Packers 45, Dallas Cowboys 7

This week: Dallas travels to New Meadowlands Stadium, 4:15 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Sean Lee (2005-07, 2009), LB
Lee registered one tackle on defense and one on special teams in the Cowboys' defeat at Green Bay.

NFC South

Carolina Panthers - New Orleans Saints 34, Carolina Panthers 3

This week: The Panthers host Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Dan Connor (2004-07), LB
Connor suffered a season-ending hip injury in the first half of Carolina's loss to New Orleans. He was placed on injured reserve and will undergo surgery soon. Connor had started all eight games in 2010, his first career starts in his third NFL season, and ranked third on the team with 59 tackles.

Ed Johnson (2003-04, 2006), DT
Johnson had one tackle and one quarterback hit in the Panthers' loss to the Saints.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Atlanta Falcons 27, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21

This week: The Buccaneers travel to Carolina, 1 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

John Gilmore (1999-01), TE
Gilmore started his sixth game of the season but did not record a catch in the loss.

NFC West

Seattle Seahawks - New York Giants 41, Seattle Seahawks 7

This week: The Seahawks travel to Arizona, 4:15 p.m. on FOX.

Deon Butler (2005-08), WR
Butler started his fifth game for the Seahawks this season, catching three passes in the loss to the Giants.

Michael Robinson (QB 2002-05), RB
Robinson was inactive for the second consecutive game.

San Francisco 49ers - BYE

This week: San Fran hosts St. Louis, 4:15 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Navorro Bowman (2007-09), LB

St. Louis Rams - BYE

This week: The Rams hosts the 49ers, 4:15 p.m. on FOX.

Josh Hull (2006-09), LB
Hull tore his anterior cruciate ligament during practice on Sept. 15. He was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of his rookie season.

Justin King (2005-07), CB

Arizona Cardinals - Minnesota Vikings 27, Arizona Cardinals 24

This week: Arizona hosts Seattle, 4:15 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

Levi Brown (2003-06), OT
Brown continued his string of consecutive starts at right tackle for Arizona, dating back to his rookie season of 2007, helping the Cardinals post 24 points in a road loss to the Vikings.

AFC South

Tennessee Titans - BYE

This week: The Titans travel to Miami, 1 p.m. Sunday on CBS.

Kerry Collins (1992-94), QB
Collins, the longest active NFL tenured Nittany Lion in his 16th professional season, has seen significant action for the Titans this season, throwing for 587 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions.

Tim Shaw (2002, 2004-06), LB
Shaw has seen action in eight games, predominantly on special teams but has also started one, recording 13 tackles this season.

Indianapolis Colts - W, 30-17 vs Houston

This week: The Colts host Cincinnati, 1 p.m. Sunday on CBS.

Jeremy Kapinos (2003-2006), P
Kapinos did not see action in Indy's 30-17 win over Houston last week.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs - Oakland Raiders 23, Kansas City Chiefs 20 (OT)

This week: Kansas City travels to Denver, 4:05 p.m. on CBS.

Tamba Hali (2002-05), DE
Hali totaled four tackles, including two solos, and had one sack for a loss of five yards in the Chiefs' overtime loss to the Raiders.

AFC North

Cleveland Browns - Cleveland Browns 34, New England Patriots 14

Jordan Norwood (2005-08), WR
Norwood is a member of the Cleveland Browns' practice squad.

AFC East

New England Patriots - Cleveland Browns 34, New England Patriots 14

Rich Ohrnberger (2006-08), OG
Ohrnberger, listed on the depth chart as a back-up at right guard, was inactive for the Browns' game.

Buffalo Bills - Chicago Bears 22, Buffalo Bills 19

Aaron Maybin (2007-08), DE
Maybin was inactive for Buffalo's game with Chicago.

Paul Posluszny (2003-06), LB
Posluszny tied for the team lead in tackles, making 10 stops.

Scott saw action on defense and special teams, recording two total tackles and two passes defensed in the loss.

Miami Dolphins - Baltimore Ravens 26, Miami Dolphins 10

This week: Miami hosts Tennessee, 1 p.m. Sunday on CBS.

Jared Odrick (2006-09), DT
Odrick was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 22 as a result of a left foot injury he suffered at the end of practice two days earlier. It was unrelated to the right leg injury that had kept the 2010 first-round pick out of the lineup since week one.

Mickey Shuler (2007-09), TE
Shuler was inactive for Miami's loss to Baltimore.

Cameron Wake (2000, 2002-04), LB
Wake gave another standout performance for Miami, making eight tackles, all solos, and two sacks.
