Joe Paterno confirmed today that Matt McGloin will start at quarterback for Penn State, when the Nittany Lions travel to face the Ohio State Buckeyes this Saturday in Columbus.

McGloin had been listed as the first-team quarterback in the game notes released today. The former walk-on redshirt freshman started two weeks ago against Michigan, as incumbent starter Rob Bolden sat due to a concussion sustained against Minnesota. Since replacing Bolden at Minnesota, McGloin has played most of two games (Minnesota and Northwestern), while starting and completing the Michigan win. He's thrown for almost 500 yards the last three games, with a 5-0 TD-INT ratio.

  1. Mike, you need to spruce up your header info. Ohio State is 4-1 in Conference, not 2-2. Thanks, Ken
