Anthony Zettel Verbals to Penn State

Hey, what do ya know! It's a nice big verbal for 2011, from a guy that a bunch of other schools wanted, too!

Tonight, 6-foot-4 defensive end Anthony Zettel (Ogemaw Heights/West Branch, MI) burned home state powers Michigan and Michigan State, to verbally commit to Penn State:
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Zettel was down to four teams, including Michigan, Michigan State and Iowa. He took official visits at all of them, and Michigan was thought to be his top choice through the recruiting process.
This is, to say the least, sweeeet. Zettel was widely regarded as one of the top five recruits in the state of Michigan. For Penn State to pull him away from UM and MSU--particularly UM, since he probably could have earned playing time immediately--is a very big deal.

And for those still harping that this year's recruiting class is so terrible, this should give things a nice shot in the arm. The defensive line needs depth going into the next few seasons.
