ESPN: Michigan Fires Rich Rodriguez (updated: It's Done)

Across the Big Ten conference, fans do not rejoice. Michigan has reportedly fired Rich Rodriguez. It was rumored to be just a formality that it would happen this week, but things look like it will be official today.

Michigan released a statement Wednesday saying athletic director Dave Brandon will discuss the state of the program at 12:30 p.m. ET. The source told Schad that Rodriguez is meeting with his staff. A players meeting is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

Update: It's done.
