Penn State quarterback Kevin Newsome has apparently decided to stay in Happy Valley, according to teammate linebacker Nate Stupar's twitter account:
In December, it was reported that Newsome wanted to transfer out of the program. It was assumed he wanted to go elsewhere due to his No. 3 position on the QB depth chart this past season, losing out to true frosh Rob Bolden and later redshirt sophomore Matt McGloin. Newsome was widely regarded as the heir-apparent to Daryll Clark, after he was the primary backup in 2009 to the two-time 1st Team All-Big Ten quarterback.
This is making my head hurt...
Update: Nate backed off a bit, but it's still interesting with everything else going on, that Newsome's name came up. I, and most of the people I talk to, figured he was the one definite move in the quarterback equation. Again, head... hurting...
