Kevin Newsome changes plans? Nate Stupar says QB will stay at PSU (updated)

Penn State quarterback Kevin Newsome has apparently decided to stay in Happy Valley, according to teammate linebacker Nate Stupar's twitter account:
In December, it was reported that Newsome wanted to transfer out of the program. It was assumed he wanted to go elsewhere due to his No. 3 position on the QB depth chart this past season, losing out to true frosh Rob Bolden and later redshirt sophomore Matt McGloin. Newsome was widely regarded as the heir-apparent to Daryll Clark, after he was the primary backup in 2009 to the two-time 1st Team All-Big Ten quarterback.

This is making my head hurt...

Update: Nate backed off a bit, but it's still interesting with everything else going on, that Newsome's name came up. I, and most of the people I talk to, figured he was the one definite move in the quarterback equation. Again, head... hurting...
